Sign-up Due Dates & Costs:
Regular Sign-up by Feb-19th - Cost: $65
Late Sign-up by Feb-23rd - Cost: $80
Please make checks payable to St. Pius Athletics. Please turn in your sign-up forms and check into the St. Pius X School front desk as soon as possible. The due date for sign-up is February 19th. After that a $15.00 late fee will be charged until the deadline of February 23rd. After Feb 23rd I can not guarantee your child a spot on a team. I apologize for the late fee, but last year late sign-ups cost the program quite a bit of money in team charges from CYO.

4th Grade
We welcome 4th grade sign up. Fourth graders may or may not
be able to play depending on the number of 4th graders, available
coaches, and team sizes. In the past we has done everything
we can to include the 4th grade players in the 56 league
and will work toward that same goal this year.
General Information about the Spring Soccer Season
When?
Practices usually start around mid March (weather dependent). Coaches
will call their teams shortly before practices start. Games
begin mid April and are usually over by late May.
Uniforms
Jerseys will be handed out before games start. These
jerseys will be collected at the end of the season. Purple
shorts should be worn if the players have them from another
sport. If not, please wear navy or black shorts. Stay
away from colors like red, royal blue, and bright green because
other schools’ uniforms include them. Gold soccer
socks are part of the uniform. If you don’t have
a pair from previous seasons, please note your need for size
on the sign up form. Socks will be made available through
your team coach.
Equipment
Shin guards are required for games and practices. Soccer
cleats are not mandatory, but are very helpful. Baseball
and football cleats are not permitted. We like to do
a lot of individual foot skill drills so every player should
bring a ball to practice. A size 4 ball is used at the
56 level, and a size 5 ball is used for Cadet. Water
bottles are needed at both games and practices. Put your
name on your soccer ball and water bottle.
Practices
Practices will be scheduled by your coach. We have some
cold practices early in the year so please have players dress
appropriately for the weather. I suggest gloves and a
hat as well as dressing in layers.
Coaching
It’s difficult for any one individual to be a fulltime
coach, so your help as an assistant coach or team coordinator
helps the program out greatly. If you can help even
a bit please let me know.
Here’s to a great 2010 soccer season!
